The COPDEM Active Citizens Project is a strategic initiative designed to strengthen electoral transparency and citizen participation during the 2027 general elections. Under this project, COPDEM members will be mobilized and positioned across polling units nationwide to actively monitor and report on the voting process.
By being physically present at polling stations, members will observe proceedings, document irregularities, and provide real-time updates to ensure credible and fair elections. Additionally, they will collect first-hand information on polling results directly from the source, helping to promote accurate reporting and reduce electoral malpractice.
This project empowers citizens to play a direct role in protecting democracy and reinforces COPDEM’s commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections in Nigeria.
